Strange game involving ducks and the Camino......
Friday I was out of the hotel by 6:15 and started my journey. On my way out of Logroño I ran into Lucia, the Italian woman I’d had dinner with a few nights ago.
The landscape of Rioja was different from Navarre, mainly because of all of the vineyards. There was zero cloud coverage, but the inclines and declines were not as bad as Wednesday the entrance into Najera was much nicer. I met a teacher from Toronto who was doing the Camino for a second time with a Scottish woman she had met during her first Camino and they gave me some delicious grapes (because they didn’t want to carry them all the way😂). On my way into the city I ran into Tina (Belgian chef) who I’d spent the first couple days with and it was nice to see her and catch up on our different adventures. Still zero blisters so far😬. The heat is suppose to get bad, so it looks like a few more early mornings to try and beat the heat!
So excited to walk 19+ miles....🙄
